Believe it or not, yes they do!
The Salvation Army here in Michigan frequently runs sale. Every week, they have a sale on a certain colored tag. Usually when you go into the store, there is a sign with the sale color tag of the week. Throughout the week, that color tag is 50% off. On Saturday’s, that color tag is .69 or 5 for $5.00.
The Salvation Army also runs different sales throughout the year. For example, all of the clothing is usually .99 on holidays such as Veteran’s Day, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving (black Friday).
Occasionally, there will be random sales including 50% off purses, shoes, or jewelry. I haven’t found a trend in these sales; they mostly happen randomly.
If you are a student, a veteran, if it’s your birthday (not all locations), or a senior citizen, the Salvation Army also offers sales daily on non-sale items. If you show your ID they give you 10% off your purchase.
I am signed up for the Salvation Army mailing list so I am informed of sales ahead of time. I signed up by going into the store and filling out the mailing list form.
Have you ever taken advantage of sales while thrifting?
